Good morning, everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful 1st Wednesday. This week I wanted to share with you a really awesome book I stumbled upon on Goodreads. The book is the second in the series, and I haven't yet read the first. I'm dying to now though!

Good day to you all! Hopefully, where you are it isn't too cold. Maybe even the sun is shining. I'm so sick of rain myself. The sun has been fighting valiantly to break through the gathering clouds to day, and I assure you, I have been cheering him on!

Anyway, today's WoW is really cool. Why? Because. I love any thing involving Native Americans, and I like ghosts. Not literally, of course. I've just recently discovered them in YA horror, and I think they rock. This book, The Revenant Sonia Gensler has both!

Hi everyone! For this week's WoW I have Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini. That's right. Its the book that sparked huge interest when HarperTEEN signed a multi-million dollar deal to the author calling it "Percy Jackson for girls". But I don't just want to read it for all of the hype. It sounds like a wonderful book, and HarperTEEN does general know what they're talking about. Anyway, this beautiful book will be out on May 31, 2010.

Happy Wednesday, everyone! This week I have a really awesome book for my WOW. Its Cleopatra's Moon by Vicky Alvear Shecter. After reading Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran, I've been incredibly intrigued by Cleopatra Selene. What strength it must have taken to get through an imprisonment by the man that killed her family.

This week I'm waiting on I was Jane Austen's Best Friend by Cora Harrison to be released by Delacorte Books for Young Readers on September 28, 2010. The pretty cover caught my eye at first, and lately (okay, its been a while!) I've been absorbed with Victorian novels. I'm not the biggest Jane Austen fan, but this sounds like it will be a cute book and worth the risk.

This week I am waiting on Cate of the Lost Colony by Lisa Klein to be released by BloomsburyUSA on October 12. It looks like an absolutely amazing story and I'm dying to get my hands on it. The mystery of the Roanoke Colony is so baffling I would like to see how Lisa Klein would put the story together. And isn't the cover absolutely gorgeous??

This week I'm anxiously awaiting Nightshade by Andrea Cremer which will be released October 19, 2010. Despite its long away release, some kind publicist managed to send a copy to me. Why is this a bad thing? Because. I've been trying to not read/review books until closer to the pub date (even waited like three months to read Perchance to Dream! Torture!) Anyway its sitting on my shelf and we all know my obsession with werewolves...and shiny covers! And there is no way I'm going to be able to last until anywhere near October.

This week I'm waiting on Wicked Girls: A Novel of the Salem Witch Trials by Stephanie Hemphill which will be released July 1, 2010. I've been interested in the Salem Witch Trials since I read The Sacrifice by Kathleen Benner Duble years ago. Plus, I found out a while back that my ancestors were involved in a witch trial in another part of New England. They were the accusors in the case, having said another woman cursed them and their ship. After she was excecuted they were drown when the ship sank... *Eerie music* Yeah, I know, right? Anyway here's a look at this awesome book;

This Wednesday, I'm waiting on Guardian of the Gate by Michelle Zink. I adored Prophecy of the Sisters and am so excited for the second book in Zink's trilogy. She left it at such a cliffhanger, its torture waiting on this next book. Luckily we won't have too much longer to wait, as its being released August 1, 2010!

This Wednesday, I'm waiting on Linger by Maggie Stiefvater. But, come on, who isn't? Shiver was amazing and I can only hope that this second book will live up to its expectations. All I know is the synopsis sounds pretty darn good, and the cover is totally cool. Linger will be released by Scholastic Press July 20, 2010.

This week, I'm waiting on The Education of Bet by Lauren Baratz-Logsted. It sounds like a charming historical fiction novel. The Education of Bet will be released by Houghton Miffling Books for Children on July 12.

This Wednesday I'm waiting on a hilarious looking novel by E.D. Baker. The cover of The Wide-Awake Princess is adorable and the story sounds like yet another turn of our favorite fairy tales, something I can't get enough of. This book will be released May 11, 2010 by Bloomsbury USA.

What I'm waiting for this Wednesday is an awesome-sounding book that will be released June 8th from Henry Holt & Company. The cover is gorgeous and I love historical fiction novels with a thick political background. I can't wait to read this one!

What am I waiting on this week?

I for one am absolutely dying to get my hands on this, and I'm sure many of you are too. Who isn't waiting for the second book to the wonderful Eyes Like Stars? Lisa Mantchev is an amazingly hilarious writer, and she weaves a story so magically. I love the theatre and these books put it in an even crazier and funnier light than it normally is in reality (and if you've ever been backstage you know that's sometimes a hard thing to do!). Plus the cover is gorgeous and I've been waiting on a cliffhanger far to long.

So, I'm guessing I should probably read Need first but after receiving the trailer for Captivate from my friends at Bloomsbury I'm dying to get my hands on it! =) If you haven't heard of it check this out.



Zara and her friends knew they hadn't solved the pixie problem for good. Far from it. The king's needs grow deeper every day he's stuck in captivity, while his control over his people gets weaker. It's made him vulnerable. And now there's a new king in town.

A turf war is imminent, since the new pixie king, Astley, is moving in quickly. Nick nearly killed him in the woods on day one, but Zara came to his rescue. Astley swears that he and Zara are destined to be together, that he's one of the good guys. Nick isn't buying it, though Zara isn't as sure -- despite herself, she wants to trust the new king. Waiting is the hardest part of all...
My birthday is October 27-which happens to also be the release date of the second Warrior Princess book by Frewin Jones!-and my wishlist is already pretty long... It seems though that I am always checking out my favorite authors first. Frewin Jones, Gail Carson Levine, Libba Bray, Esther Friesner... On and on the list could stretch.
